Coronavirus cases pass 200,000 globally. Every state in America now has a confirmed coronavirus case, with the first case detected in West Virginia yesterday. The U.S. death toll has surpassed 100 as of today.
German officials are worried about a spike in cases. The head of Germany’s agency for disease control warned that as many as 10 million people could become infected in the next three months if stricter isolation measures were not taken. There are 8,198 confirmed cases in Germany, and that number jumped by more than 1,000 overnight.
Market convulsions continue. Yesterday, U.S. stocks snapped back up but overnight futures sharply fell and were once again halted down, hitting the -4% limit. Bonds followed and oil prices plunged to a 17-year low.
You might be receiving a check of at least $1,000. Mitt Romney first floated the idea earlier this week, to cushion the economic impact of coronavirus, and it has since been adopted by Treasury Secretary Mnuchin.
Biden sweeps primaries in Arizona, Florida, and Illinois. Biden increased his delegate lead to 1,147 against Sanders with 861. Biden would need 1,991 to secure the nomination but there is increasing pressure for Sanders to back out with it appearing unlikely he can mount enough support to overcome Biden’s lead.

“My kids are off from school. A lot of businesses are letting workers work from home. But Amazon workers are going in extra time, we’re doing the opposite of what everybody else is doing and due to the nature of our work, its hands-on. We have to do that,” said an Amazon warehouse worker in Troutdale, Oregon, who requested to remain anonymous for fear of retaliation.
