The Ideological Shift: From Open to ‘Capped’ Profit

OpenAI’s initial draw was its commitment to “open” – an ethos that promised to share AI’s fruits far and wide, ensuring that the transformative power of AI wouldn’t be hoarded behind corporate vaults.
